Langley RCMP called to three-vehicle crash in Walnut Grove

Speed, alcohol and drugs not factors in three-vehicle chain-reaction crash

Langley RCMP are investigating a three-vehicle crash in Walnut Grove on July 2.
Just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, the RCMP received reports of numerous youth in the area and congregating around a two vehicle collision at 204 Street and Telegraph Trail.
"Officers responded and determined the incident was a chain reaction type collision involving three vehicles," explained Langley RCMP Cpl. Craig van Herk.
A black Cadillac, a grey Cadillac and a red Volkswagen were travelling north on 204 Street.
"The driver of the first vehicle, the black Cadillac, applied the brakes and was rear ended by the grey Cadillac. The red Volkswagen then rear ended the grey Cadillac," he said.
The grey Cadillac and Red Volkswagen could not be driven and were towed from the scene.
One of the drivers suffered a minor injury and was taken to hospital by family to be assessed, he added.
"The investigation further determined drugs, alcohol or speed not to be factors," van Herk said.
